Chianti Cleggett is making a difference through the Young Women's Empowerment Conference, which allows 40 teens between the ages of 14 and 19 to network with one another, as well as with successful professional women who can serve as mentors.
Coach Jamie Roddy, a physical education teacher at Tarrant Intermediate, was honored for Making a Difference through going the extra mile to mentor students in her classes.
Two teams from our area are in Cooperstown this week and will play against each other on famous Doubleday Field. These boys have played against each other since they were 5 and for them, this is a dream come true.
