    One person was taken to a hospital, following a wreck on Birmingham’s south side Friday.It happened just before 1:00 p.m. on 6th Avenue South and 23rd Street South.A witness says a car struck a pedestrian.Medics with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service were seen taken the injured person away to a hospital.It’s unclear why the collision happened, and the victim’s condition is unknown.
