Kyle Burger joined Alabama's 13 in September 2012 as a sports reporter/anchor.
Before arriving in Birmingham, Kyle worked at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Ala., as a sports anchor for nearly five years. He was a key member of the station's high school football show that won Best Sports Program by the Associated Press and became known for his feature segment called "Burger Bytes".
During his time in Huntsville and Birmingham, he has covered a string of four straight national championship football teams as Alabama (2009, 2011, 2012) and Auburn (2010) have dominated the sport during that time.
Kyle also had the opportunity to cover the Florida Gators national championship run in 2006 while he worked at WMBB-TV in Panama City, Fla., from 2005-07. Kyle was honored for his work by the Associated Press for Best Sports Feature and by the Society of Professional Journalists for Best Sports Reporting.
His first on-air job was a brief stint at WDNN-TV in Dalton, Ga.
Kyle is a native of Conyers, Ga. He attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Ga., and earned a degree in Mass Communication. While in college he interned at WSB-TV in Atlanta, and at WMAZ-TV in Macon, Ga.
Kyle enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Kenya, and their energetic yorkie Oscar.
