
Hilary Golston is a weekend anchor and reporter for Birmingham's NBC affiliate. Golston joined Alabama's 13 from the WFRV-TV, the CBS affiliate in Green Bay, Wis.
While on assignment there, she covered some of Green Bay's biggest stories and has interviewed some of Wisconsin's most prominent political figures, NFL executives and Players. Her interview subjects include, Sen. John Kerry, Hollywood movie actress Hayden Panettiere and Green Bay Packer Greg Jennings.
Golston holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Golston was the first journalist at WFRV to give an on-air report through Internet technology. Hilary was the only reporter in the Green Bay market to travel to Washington DC to report on-location and the only to give Skype reports on air from DC during the 2009 Presidential Inauguration.
Hilary has appeared on Fox Sports Network Detroit. She wrote and reported sports features for FSN Detroit's High School Sports Extra. She made her first appearance on FSN before graduating college.
Golston has had experience working under the direction of political pundit and CNN contributor Donna Brazile, federal circuit court judge Denise Hood and Congressman John Conyers.
Golston says she's most proud of a series of stories she did about a 4-year-old with a rare skin disease denied an expensive life-saving surgery from the government. After her reporting, Medicaid credited the station for its part in bringing to light new information necessary to eventually overturn its decision and save the boy's life.
Hilary's a trained Suzuki pianist, a craft she studied for more than eight years. Golston is also a proud Detroit native and sports fan.
