BLOG: SEC Power Poll

By Patrick Pierce

Alabama is clearly the front runner in the SEC, but is Georgia the second best? Auburn exposed LSU, and I think the Tigers' passing attack is not what we thought it was.

SEC Power Poll (Week 4)

#1 Alabama 4-0

Four games in, and Alabama has yet to be tested.

#2 Georgia 4-0

The Bulldogs dominated Vanderbilt.

#3 LSU 4-0

LSU got exposed at Auburn as they narrowly won 12-10.

#4 South Carolina 4-0

Connor Shaw and the Gamecocks showed Missouri what life is like on the road in the SEC.

#5 Florida 4-0

The Gators have finally found their way back into the race for the east.

#6 Mississippi State 4-0

The Bulldogs have yet to get into the meat of their schedule, but could be 7-0 when they play Alabama.

#7 Tennessee 3-1

The Vols struggled with Akron, but I think they might have been looking ahead to Georgia.

#8 Texas A&M 2-1

The Aggies have a lot of young talent, but they have looked good thus far.

#9 Missouri 2-2

The Tigers got it handed to them versus South Carolina, but need to forget about it fast as they need a win at Central Florida to get their record in the plus.

#10 Auburn 1-3

The Tigers should gain a lot of confidence with the “moral victory” over LSU.

#11 Ole Miss 3-1

The Rebels offense has been racking up the points, but points might be hard to come by this week at Alabama.

#12 Arkansas 1-3

The Razorbacks season continues to get hogtied, and there doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel any time soon.

#13 Vanderbilt 1-3

What was a promising season for Vandy seems to be fading fast.

#14 Kentucky 1-3

Things are not looking good in Wildcat country, but at least basketball season isn’t too far away.
