It’s clinch or chock week in the SEC as both Alabama and Georgia can seal the deal for Atlanta this week with victories, but if they chock and loose then the SEC race could open back up. Also teams like Kansas State will be on upset alert especially if Collin Klein isn’t %100.
Here are my Top Ten Games of Week 10:
10. Missouri @ Tennessee – Saturday – 11:21am CST – SEC Network
Both of these teams are 4-5 and in desperate need of a victory. The loser of this game will probably be sitting at home this bowl season.
9. Vanderbilt @ Ole Miss – Saturday – 6:00pm CST – ESPNU
Before the season did you think the winner of the Vanderbilt vs. Ole Miss Game would earn a bowl berth? Both teams are 5-4 and a loss isn’t the end of the season for either of them, but both programs would love to reach that 6th victory and start looking forward to the post season.
8. #10 Florida State @ Virginia Tech – Thursday – 6:30pm CST – ESPN
Before the season I circled this game as the biggest game on Florida State’s schedule, but the Noles have a loss and the Hokies are borderline pathetic. It’s still a weekday night game in Blacksburg, but this could have been one of the marquee games of the season.
7. #5 Georgia @ Auburn – Saturday – 6:00pm CST – ESPN 2
The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry is this weekend, and could we be in for a shocker? Auburn hasn’t been good in fact they have been downright ugly on both sides of the ball, but this is a night time home rivalry game that comes after a win for the Tigers. I think Georgia will have too much on the line to let Auburn sneak up on them, but this game could be better than what it looks like on paper.
6. #24 Northwestern @ Michigan – Saturday – 11:00am CST – ESPN
It would take a fallout from Nebraska, but both of these teams need this win to stay near the top of the Big10 and a chance at getting to the Big10 title game.
5. #2 Kansas State @ TCU – Saturday – 6:00pm CST – FOX
Could this be the week the Wildcats go down? TCU can be a dangerous team, and if Collin Klein isn’t a %100 or if he can’t go then the Horn frogs have chance.
4. #16 Nebraska VS Penn State – Saturday – 2:30pm CST – ABC/ESPN2
Nebraska needs this win to stay in control of the Big10, but Penn State has been very impressive, and I would be shocked if this isn’t a very close game.
3. #11 Oregon State @ #14 Stanford – Saturday – 2:00pm CST - FOX
This is a big matchup in the Pac-12 north as the winner will be able to play Oregon for the lead in the Pac-12 north.
2. #7 LSU vs. #21 Mississippi State – Saturday - 6:00pm CST – ESPN
LSU has to move past the Alabama game and get ready for a Mississippi State team that’s trying to find their way after back to back losses. I can’t see LSU dropping two home night games in a row, but if LSU plays with their heads down then that could happen.
1. #1 Alabama @ #15 Texas A&M - Saturday – 2:30pm CST - CBS
This is a big SEC west and Heisman hopeful showdown, and much like LSU the Tide has to move past last week’s game and try to come back down to earth. Johnny Football is one of the best freshmen that I’ve ever seen, but versus Florida and LSU two of the better Defenses in the SEC he has struggled.
