The Samford baseball team completed a three-game sweep of Purdue with a 13-6 win Sunday afternoon at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
"It was a great weekend," Samford head coach Casey Dunn said. "Any time you can win three games against a quality club, I think that is a positive. Hopefully it is something we can build on as we get ready for conference play."
Samford was led at the plate by C.K. Irby, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Frankie Navarrete went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI. Christiaan Durdaller had two hits and two RBI, while Tommy Corbin had two hits and one RBI.
Samford starting pitcher Alex Milazzo (3-0) pitched 5.0 innings, giving up three runs on eight hits to earn the win. Patrick Maronde, Andres Gracia and Patrick McGavin also saw time on the mound for the Bulldogs.
