BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Five players recorded multiple hits as UAB cruised to an 11-3 victory against Saint Joseph's on Tuesday evening at Young Memorial Field.
Eight of the nine starters recorded at least one hit as UAB (5-7) scored one or more runs from the third through seventh frame to snap a four-game losing skid.
by Jacob German's three-hit, four-RBI performance, the Blazers pounded
out a season-high 17 base knocks on the night. The 11 runs scored also
marked a season-high.
John Frost went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI, while Tyler Mims chipped in with three hits of his own.
"Baseball is so weird," UAB head coach Brian Shoop said. "Runs have been difficult to score so far this season. I don't know how many balls we squared up tonight, be we squared up a ton. Almost more tonight than the rest of the game combined it seemed."
