JONESBORO, Ark. ----- The UAB baseball team rallied in game two for a 4-2 win over Arkansas State to manage a split of Saturday's double-header, after dropping game one 8-1.

Arkansas State (10-5) jumped out to early leads in both games of the double-header. In the first game, the Red Wolves scored three in the second inning and the Blazers were never able to recover and get back into the game.

In game two, UAB (7-9) rallied to tie the game in the eighth, 2-2, before taking a two-run lead in the ninth on RBIs by John Frost and Ivan De Jesus.

"Every win is precious, every win is big. It's a good win for our club against a very good opponent," said UAB head coach Brian Shoop on teams come-from-behind win in game two.

Frost finished the day 5-for-8 at the plate with a HR, two runs, two RBI and a stolen base.

The Blazers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Troy for a midweek game. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
