Are Auburn players "buying in?"
That was one of the many topics discussed during today's news conference.
The Tigers just completed a regular season where they finished with an overall record of 9-22. They won just three SEC games.
So have the Auburn players been "buying into" to head coach Tony Barbee's system?
Senior guard Frankie Sullivan and junior guard Chris Denson both believe there are some players on the roster who have not "bought in."
Barbee believes otherwise. When asked if he thinks his players have not "bought in," Barbee responded with simply, "No. I haven't seen that as an issue."
When you finish the regular season with just nine wins, whispers about job security are bound to come about. That's what has happened with Barbee.
Auburn's head coach was asked about his conversations with athletic director Jay Jacobs. Barbee said the two have strictly discussed where the team is right now and what they can do on Wednesday night against Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament. Tipoff is at 9:00 PM.
