University of Alabama Director of Athletics Mal Moore is said to resting comfortably while undergoing tests at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina.
According to a University of Alabama spokesperson, Moore was transferred to the Duke facility after being admitted to Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, last Sunday. He underwent tests for pulmonary problems while at Brookwood.
He was in the hospital for two days last August suffering from an irregular heartbeat.
Moore has served as the University's Director of Athletics since 1999. During his long association with the University of Alabama, he played for Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He also served as an assistant coach under Bryant, as well as under coach Gene Stallings.
Moore has been as part of ten national football championships at the University of Alabama.
