A husband and wife from Cullman are stuck in the Caribbean after their Carnival cruise ship experienced some technical issues.
Charles and Juanita McQueen have been in St. Maarten since Wednesday.
Their carnival cruise ship, "The Dream," had problems with an on-board generator while docked on the island.
The company announced yesterday that passengers would be flown home.
The McQueen's volunteered to leave last and let families with children go home first. "They taken care of all the people that had to get back. We elected to be last day because we're retired and don't work and didn't have to be back at scheduled time."
Despite the technical hiccup, the McQueen's say they're still having a good time. "They have been marvelous. We have plenty of food. We have air conditioned. We have all the amenities."
