An Adger man was arrested and charged for allegedly sending pornographic photos to a juvenile female.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reports William Ray Reeves Jr., 56, was arrested in this case.

Back on March 4, 2013, deputies in the Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Unit received an anonymous tip that an unknown suspect was sending pornographic photos of himself to a 14 year old Jefferson County girl through the social media site Facebook.

The investigation led Detectives to Reeves.

The suspect and the victim in this case did not know each other, and it's not clear why the child was targeted.

Then on March 14, 2013, deputies executed a search warrant at Reeves' residence in the 9900 block of Lock 17 Road in Adger.

During the search, detectives discovered evidence linking Reeves to this crime.

They also found evidence that indicates there may be other victims who have yet to be identified.

Reeves was served with a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child by Computer.

If anyone has information regarding this case or any other involving William Ray Reeves Jr.  is asked to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Unit at 205-325-5800.

Reeves posted a $30,000 bond and was released from jail.
