AUBURN, AL -- Lindsey and Lauren Norberg are identical twins. They do everything together, including making a trip to the NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana, for Thursday's events.
But it all started, when they decided to go to Auburn.
"We both wanted to go to the same school," Lauren said.
"A package deal," Lindsey added.
"We were going to go together regardless where it was," Lauren said.
Lauren and Lindsey say the best way to tell them apart, while they're in the poo,l is the color of their goggles. Lindsey wears pink, Lauren wears blue. Other than that, they are your stereotypical twins.
"We pretty much do everything together," Lindsey said.
"We have the same classes, same major, share a car, live together, share a dog," Lauren said.
They also share the same event. Lindsey and Lauren both specialize and dominate the 100 breaststroke.
During the SEC Championships, both senior swimmers broke the one-minute mark. Lindsey recorded the second-best time in school history.
"We compete a lot. We like to swim side-by-side," Lauren said.
"Ever since we were little we always swam the same events," Lindsey said. "It's been upsides and downs, who's better."
The NCAA's will be the last time these two will be in a pool competively. When it's over they plan go to Auburn Vet school... together.
"Real world here we come," Lauren said. "Done swimming, not sure what we're going to do."
"It's been 12 years," Lindsey said. "It's going to be a shock at first, but i think we're ready for it."
The Norberg's are originally from Ithica, New York. They major in Pre-Vet Animal Science.
