BIRMINGHAM, AL - An 18-year-old was found dead Friday night in Bessemer. The teen had just had a birthday, according to the Jefferson County coroner's office.
Defarris Parham was discovered in the 1200 block of Clarendon Avenue, behind James A. Davis Middle, shortly before 9 PM.
The Jefferson County coroner reports Parham suffered at least one gunshot wound. The victim turned 18 on March 11.
Bessemer Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
Officials had no suspects in custody as of last night, according to the coroner.
