The Gadsden father accused of killing his 20-month-old daughter will have his day in court.
According to court records, Stephon Lindsay will make his initial appearance April 11 at 8:30 a.m.
Lindsay has been charged with capital murder in the case.
Because Lindsay has been declared indigent, he's been given a court-appointed attorney, court documents reveal.
Maliyah Lindsay was reported missing on Monday. Her mother reportedly realized the child's father hadn't taken the baby to his sister's house. Lindsay allegedly said he was planning on dropping the child off with his sister, but a call to his sister revealed that she hadn't seen the child.
Maliyah's body was found Tuesday in a wooded area off Plainview Street.
The toddler's funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Mission Baptist Church in Gadsden.
