Trees down, power lines down across metro Birmingham from strong storms Monday

BIRMINGHAM, AL -

A line of strong storms took down many trees and power lines throughout the metro Birmingham area Monday afternoon.

There is reported structure damage in many areas.

There is a reported tree on a house in Rainbow City, and possible injuries.

There is damage reported in the Arley area of Winston County, and some roads are blocked there, including Highway 41 South.

Jefferson County EMA reports a tree down on a house on Avenue T in Ensley, with numerous trees and power lines down in many areas.

Some wind damage is reported in the western section of Blount County, with dime-sized hail.

Cullman County EMA reported some damage in Crane Hill.

Alabama Power Company reports 75,000 customers out of power in the Birmingham metro area.
