
Trae Santos had three hits and drove in four runs to lead Troy to a 13-5 win over Jacksonville State at Rudy Abbott Field on Wednesday evening.
Ryan Sorce (1-0) picked up his first win of the season after allowing just one hit with four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings on the mound for the Trojans. Michael Mason (0-1) gave up two runs and issued three walks in 1 2/3 innings to suffer his first loss of the year.
Jacksonville State returns to action on Wednesday in Tuscaloosa against Alabama, before returning to Ohio Valley Conference action with a three-game series at Austin Peay this weekend.
