BIRMINGHAM, AL -
Patients at Children's Hospital in Birmingham were able to play doctor Wednesday.
The hospital is celebrating National Child Life Month, and has special events scheduled every day of this week.
Today, young patients took part in medical play day, where the patients pretended to be doctors, nurses and technicians.
Experts say these activities help ensure than life remains as normal as possible for children in the hospital.
Friday's activity is scheduled to be an interactive Candyland game.
