HOOVER, AL -
Some students at Riverchase Elementary School in Hoover today learned about human anatomy with some help from students and faculty at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
The interactive demonstration today used hearts, lungs and intestines from sheep and pigs.
The event was organized by the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at UAB.
Today's presentation was part of a three-day event at Riverchase Elementary with approximately 1,600 students taking part in it.
