Central, Ala. - Temperatures will begin to fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s tonight under clear skies.  A Freeze Warning has been issued for the northern half of central Alabama overnight tonight. The National weather service suggests taking the necessary precautions to protect sensitive vegetation.

FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM CDT
THURSDAY...

* TEMPERATURES...27 TO 31 DEGREES FOR 4 TO 6 HOURS.

* IMPACTS...TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF
  TIME MAY DRASTICALLY AFFECT SENSITIVE VEGETATION. PRECAUTIONS
  WILL NEED TO BE TAKEN TO PROTECT THESE PLANTS TONIGHT AND
  TOMORROW MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
