BIRMINGHAM, AL -
The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The victim was discovered on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at approximately 9:30 p.m., at 110 Roosevelt Courtway Southwest.
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Isaac Thomas of Birmingham.
According to a media release sent from Birmingham Police:
"South Precinct officers responded to the incident location to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim lying in the doorway suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported the victim to U.A.B. Hospital for treatment. Hospital staff later pronounced the victim deceased."
As of Friday morning, no arrests have been made in the case. Police are asking for tips or anyone with information pertaining to this case to call the B.P.D. Homicide Unit at (205) 254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777.
