Central, Ala. – A thin layer of clouds will clear out this morning, but it will remain windy and cold today. Highs will only be in the 40s and 50s this afternoon. A WIND ADVISORY has been issued for winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 35 late this morning and this afternoon. Winds will finally calm down some by tonight and temperatures are expected to fall below freezing after midnight. A FREEZE WARNING has been issued for all of central Alabama from midnight until 9 am Tuesday morning. Unseasonably cold weather will carry on across the state through mid week. There is a small chance of light snow late Monday night and into Tuesday morning for extreme northern Alabama. No accumulations expected. A small warming trend will begin on Wednesday.
