Things got real interesting on the final lap of yesterday's Auto Club 400 out in Fontana, California. On the last lap Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano racing side-by-side battling for the victory when the two wreaked each other leading to a victory for Kyle Bush. Flashback just one week ago these two were pulled apart in the pits after Hamlin spun Logano into the wall. This time Logano ends up brushing the outside wall Denny Hamlin goes down the track and hammers the inside wall... with no safer barrier. Hamlin climbed out of the car, but was air-lifted to the hospital and diagnosed with a compression fracture in his lower back.
Sports psychologist, Bhrett McCabe joined Alabama Tonight to talk about what causes all these temper flare-ups that we see in Nascar "I think it speaks to something more. We're talking about cars and mostly men driving cars. It kind of pulls out the whole testosterone and adrenaline so it's all ramped up and everybody is excited. Their drivers are going a couple of 100 mph and Nascar is loving every minute of this".
