Former University of Alabama athletic director Mal Moore died Saturday at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He was 73.
Moore's career and connection with the University of Alabama as a player, coach and administrator spanned six decades.
As soon as news hit of Moore's passing, people took to Twitter to share their memories and condolences. One of those, Chris Stewart with the Crimson Tide Network.
He was calling the Alabama Baseball game when the team heard of Mal Moore's passing and gathered to pray on the mound.
Stewart says every time he would see Moore on game day he would tell him to be sure and say his name on the radio.
Mal Moore will be missed my many and remembered for his legacy with the Crimson Tide.
