Former Auburn defensive back Mike McNeil has pled guilty to first-degree robbery. McNeil and three former teammates were arrested in March of 2011 for armed robbery.
McNeil was the subject of last week's story by Selena Roberts that made all kinds of allegations against the Auburn football program including grade changes and paying players.
In McNeil's plea deal he receives a 15-year split sentence. He must serve at least three years in prison as well as three years of supervised probation.
McNeil was supposed to go on trial this week for the armed robber and was facing 21 years to life.
