BIRMINGHAM, AL -

The anticipation is nearing the end for the Birmingham Barons return back to the Magic City in their new $64 million ballpark after more than two decades away in Hoover.

A sold out crowd will witness the inaugural homestead at 7:05 p.m. tonight at the Mississippi Braves.

Under the beaming sun construction workers have been working around the clock and continue to make progress towards getting the facility ready for it's debut.

"Any sort of opening day there's always going to be butterflies and maybe, even a hectic feeling of trying to make sure everything is ready, so we have that. Plus the added pressure of opening up a new stadium," said Nick Dobreff, Barons Media Relations Director.

Across the street from the stadium, Good People Brewing Company, has adjusted their hours to accommodate the expected increase crowds.

"We've put in more taps. We've hired you know about a 11 or 12 extra bar members to help out at the door, said Joel Harris, Good People's Tap Room Manager.
