Severe weather predicted for Thursday in Central Alabama; One school system already plans early dismissal

BIRMINGHAM, AL -

Severe weather, including thunderstorms, high winds, heavy rain and damaging hail, is predicted for much of tomorrow in Central Alabama.

The National Weather Service says the possibility of severe storms exists from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. as the storms move from west to east across the area.

According to Mike Scott, Transportation Supervisor with  Walker County Schools, all Walker Co. schools will dismiss early, tomorrow, at 11:30 a.m.

Here's a list of the counties that the National Weather Service says could be effected by the severe weather:
