Day two of the Masters at Augusta National is in the books.
WHO'S ON TOP?
Right now Jason Day is on top of the leaderboard shooting a 68 putting him at -6. Behind Day is Fred Couples and Marc Leishman, they're a stroke behind him at -5.
TIGER AND RORY
Tiger Wood was on the charge early today climbing as high as -5, but struggling late hitting a couple of bogeys. Tiger would finish the day three shots off the lead at -3.
Rory Mcllroy had a sold day shooting a 70 today, that put him at -2 and just four shots off the lead.
It should be an interesting weekend for those two if they can stay in the hunt.
PLAYERS WITH LOCAL CONNECTIONS
It was a big day for former Auburn golfer Jason Dufner who shot a good round today putting him tied with Tiger at -3 and just three strokes off the lead. As for The other local players it wasn't pretty. Former Tide golfer Michael Thompson is just above par at +1; Thompson shot a 71 and still has a outside shot at making a run. Last years Masters champ Bubba Watson who spent time at Faulkner State in Alabama just made the cut at +4. The same can't be said for former UAB golfer Graeme mcdowell who's really struggling shooting a 76 and missed the cut with a +5.
THE 14 YEAR OLD TIANLANG GUAN
Maybe the biggest story of the Masters is Tianlang Guan the 14 year old from China. Not only is he playing in the Masters, he made the cut and will play this weekend. He's +4 and would have been +3, but suffered a one stroke penalty for slow play. He's not going to win the Master...this year, but he has a very bright future.
