After dropping game one of Saturday's doubleheader 7-1, the UAB baseball team overcame a four-run deficit to take game two, 9-8. Ryan Prinzing came through with a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to send the Blazers home winners and earn a split in the twinbill at Young Memorial Field.
UAB finishes the weekend at 16-20 overall and 3-6 in league play with the doubleheader split while Memphis goes to 22-14 overall and 7-5 in C-USA action.
"It is really hard to keep coming back in a game when you've lost four in a row. We hung in there great and I'm thankful that our kids got to celebrate at the end of today," said head coach Brian Shoop.
Prinzing finished the day with four hits, including two doubles, and four RBI over the two games.
