Right now the models are showing the severe weather threat to include damaging straight-line winds, lightning and heavy rain along a line of storms set to develop along an approaching cold front. Because of the nature of the storm, isolated tornadoes are possible late Thursday night through Friday morning with this line of storms. The main line is set to enter Mississippi near 11 PM Thursday night and exit East Alabama by noon Friday. The approximate arrival times for the storms are listed on the image provided by the National Weather Service in Birmingham. The greatest threat for severe weather is expected mainly west of I-65 at this time.
