Two men died after a pedestrian ran across I-65 in Birmingham.
According to the coroner's office, Randy Alan Walton, 45, of Mt. Olive was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on I-65 south at the 33rd Avenue exit when he came across a male, apparently running across the interstate.
The coroner says neither person saw each other, and the motorcycle slammed into the pedestrian. Walton was thrown off the motorcycle, then hit by another vehicle.
Both Walton and the pedestrian were pronounced dead on the scene. The pedestrian has not been identified.
No one else was injured.
