Pleasant Grove resident said she is prepared for severe weather

Posted: Updated:

Whenever there is a threat for severe weather in our area, it often brings back some strong emotions to people who survived the April 27th tornadoes.

We caught up with a family in Pleasant Grove who made it through those terrible storms nearly two years ago.  They said in spite of how they feel about the potential for bad weather having a plan is a must.  Therefore, they don't have to think.  They can just react if something happens.

Jeannie Gray said, "I mean you never expect it to happen, and you know you think you're prepared. But you're really never prepared until it actually happens, and then you realize I was not prepared."

The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency reports it is closely watching the weather situation.

EMA workers have reached out to local government officials, the public works department and school systems - just in case something happens those entities can act accordingly.
