Another chance to meet with Crimson Tide fans.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Caravan rolled into Hoover tonight. The event was held at the Wynfrey Hotel. Saban shook hands and gave out autographs to fans in attendance.
The major topic Saban discussed when he met with reporters was how his program fared in the NFL Draft. Alabama had nine players selected in the draft. That's a Crimson Tide record for one season.
One player who fell on draft boards was running back Eddie Lacy. Some thought Lacy could end up being a first round pick, but he went in the second round to the Green Bay Packers.
Saban said he was not surprised Lacy fell in the draft. The head coach added NFL teams will always find the negative, even if it's minor, and focus on just that. Eliminating those negatives is something he stresses to his players.
