TALLADEGA COUNTY, AL -

A Georgia man was reported missing after last being seen camping at the Talladega Superspeedway during the Aaron's 499 race weekend.

According to the Talladega County Sheriff's Office, Nicholas Bower, 28, was last seen around 11 p.m. Saturday in the South Park area of the Superspeedway, camping with friends during the event.

Jennifer Boesch, Bower's girlfriend, said they were camping out together at the Superspeedway Saturday when she fell asleep early. When she awoke around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, he was gone.

"We just started walking around other camp sites if they had seen or heard from him," Boesch said. "We've been together for four years now and I've never seen him do anything remotely like this. It's completely out of character."

Bower is from Villa Rica, Ga. He stands 6'4" tall and weighs 185 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black Fastenal hoodie and a black Fastenal hat with a mesh back. He may or may not have had a gray North Face jacket at the time, as well.

His family says they are grasping at straws with no information in his disappearance. They're asking the public to come forward with any information that can help.

Bower is an employee of Fastenal in Atlanta.

Anyone with information regarding Bower's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Talladega County Sheriff's Office at 256-362-6117.
