Blazers lose in Houston

The UAB baseball team dropped game two of its weekend series against Houston at Cougar Field on Saturday, 11-2. The two teams will square off in the series rubber match on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

UAB's four-game win streak over the Cougars came to an end on Saturday, as the Blazers dropped to 19-32 overall and 5-15 in Conference USA action.

Tyler Hamby continued to swing a hot bat in the Lone Star state, knocking in both UAB runs on the afternoon.  Ivan De Jesus added two hits and Adam Lau doubled and scored in the loss.

Houston (32-19, 10-10 C-USA) put up three runs in the bottom of the first and did not look back, collecting 14 hits on the day.
