BURGER BYTES: Nick Saban Photobombs UA Grad

Posted: Updated:

We're still three months from college football season, but Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban always seems to be in the news.

At the University of Alabama's graduation, he stole the headlines without even knowing it.

Recent Alabama graduate Bradley Harris took home more than a diploma during his spring time commencement ceremony.
"I took a picture with Saban, but yet it was my day and he stole the show," Harris, an advertising major said.

Shortly before the ceremony began, Bradley saw saban's wife, Terry and their son already in their seats.

Bradley just knew Saban would arrive soon.

"As soon as he started coming down the stairs, I heard a student say, 'there he is'," Harris said.  "We all turned and everyone started taking out their cameras.   I wasn't going to do it.   But being on the edge, being the closest student to Saban; I figured, I got to take this opportunity.

"I need to have him in a picture with me.   So I turned to the girl beside me and asked her, 'would you please take this picture and make sure saban is in this?'"

Nick Saban was in the third row, fourth seat.   Right in the dead center of the picture.   A lot of people think that Bradley may have cropped or photoshopped the picture, but that was not the case.

"A lot of people don't know, that was actually the second picture," Harris said.  "She messed up the first one, 'cause I guess Terry was getting up to hug him and as soon as she took the second picture it just happened to catch it right.

"As soon as I saw it, I just started cracking up.   It just looked like he photobombed the picture."

Photobombing is described by urban dictionary as a normal photo that has been ruined by someone who was not supposed to be in the photograph.

"Maybe cause of me, Saban knows what a photobomb is," Harris said.  "I'm not sure if he'll keep doing it or not, we'll see."

If Saban "photobombs" again, maybe next time we'll see a smile.
