UPDATE: From Ashley Roberts, Alabama's 13 News: Driver James Holiday, 51, of Prattville, is in serious but stable condition at UAB Hospital.
Authorities say he veered off the road, hitting guard rails and two pillars.
The inside lanes on the northbound and southbound sides will be closed until 5 p.m.
Traffic lanes are starting to open again, after a serious wreck on Interstate 65 in Chilton County Thursday morning.
The Alabama State Troopers report the wreck happened on I-65 northbound at mile marker 205, just south of Clanton.
A tractor trailer truck was loaded with alcoholic beverages crashed into the overpass bridge about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
Traffic is not being allowed to cross the overpass, and ALDOT engineers will be on site to inspect the bridge.
One lane going northbound is now open, and one lane going southbound will open soon, as of 10:45 a.m.
