Walker County authorities have seen an influx of counterfeit $20 bills circulating in the area.
WALKER COUNTY, AL -
Walker County authorities are investigating a rash of counterfeit $20 bills.
Police say the suspects have used the fake money at businesses in Jasper, Parrish and Dora.
The Secret Service is heading the investigation.
The bills first began circulating early this month.
Walker County police have arrested two people, but are still searching for more suspects.
Dora Café is one of the businesses that have been hit.
"If you're losing money, it's just like you're taking that money and throwing it away. So -- you can't afford to lose anything. Counterfeit isn't good, just like an employee stealing," said owner Dan Frederick.
Police believe the counterfeit cases in all jurisdictions are connected and that the two suspects who have been caught and others who haven't been arrested are using the same supplier.
You're urged to call Walker County law enforcement with any information that can help.
