Birmingham is getting a taste of Hollywood. Alabama natives Jon and Andrew Erwin are at it again. The filming duo's next motion picture just wrapped.
They are the founders of Erwin Brothers Motion Pictures, and they used Alabama for the backdrop of their newest film "Mom's Night Out" - which is about three housewives who get bored with their suburban life and break away for a night out in the city.
The two like to bring their work back home, and they find the actors like it in Alabama too.
Jon Erwin said, "Actors like Patricia Heaton and Sean Astin, who have never been to Alabama, come here and they love it here. They have a total misconception of what it's like here, and this is just a wonderful hidden secret that's a great place to be. They realize that when they get here, and they also realize how much more effective we can be and just how much more we can get than filming in LA."
The movie is expected to come out next year.
