BIRMINGHAM, AL -

Birmingham Police have identified the two victims of Friday night's deadly shooting in Wylam as 17-year-old twin brothers, Jonathan and Jerry Berry.

The shooting happened around 11:30pm Friday at 736 Atalla Street in Wylam. Investigators with the Birmingham Police Department have learned that three male suspects forced their way into the home. The mother of the twin brothers was arriving home when she spotted the suspects. When she tried to get away, the suspects began firing at her vehicle. This caused the mother to wreck in a neighbors yard. After firing at the mother, the three suspects shot the two brothers inside before leaving.

The brothers were pronounced dead on the scene.  The mother was taken to the hospital where she's expected to recover from her injuries.

No arrest or charges have been filed in this case.

Birmingham Police do not believe this is a random crime and they're looking to the victims' family and the public to help them catch the suspects. If you have any information, you are urged to call Crime Stopper at 254-7777.
