Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible today, with the best chance in the far southeast counties of Central Alabama later today. High temperatures will be around 90 degrees. Look for partly cloudy skies overnight with the chance for showers diminishing shortly after sunset. Overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. The Deep South will get a break from the heat heading into the next week, with highs generally in the mid to upper 80s and overnight lows largely in the mid to upper 60s through the latter part of the week. This compares to normal highs around 90. A series of weak upper level disturbances are expected to move across the state through the latter part of next week. This creates an unsettled weather pattern sparking afternoon and evening chances of showers and thunderstorms each day.
