The cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport are launching new campaigns aimed at promoting shopping locally.
T-Town All the Time will highlight areas of commerce around the city such as Midtown and the River Market. The new campaigns are in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and hope to educate the public on how important their dollar is to increasing the local quality of life.
Northport's new campaign, Shop Northport, Now, will feature area hot spots like historic downtown Northport and McFarland. The campaign also hopes to attract more local dollars while also educating taxpayers on the notion that if citizens spend money in their communities, those tax dollars will be put back into the local economy.
Both campaigns are inviting retailers to take part by using web site banners, social media outlets, posters, point of sales tents, and bag stuffers. The campaigns have the same look and feel, but are specific to the commercial hubs of the cities.
Tuscaloosa citizens will soon begin to see print ads, television spots, web ads, and hear radio spots featuring the campaigns in the next few days.
