Another round of road work is set to begin on Interstate 20 in Jefferson County. This time the road work will be on the westbound lanes.
Starting tonight at midnight, the westbound lanes will be shutdown from 459 to the 59 junction, near the Birmingham airport.
The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to repave that stretch of the highway.
The project is expected to last for about 90 days.
The road work follows a re-pavement project on the eastbound lanes.
Crews finished that work about a month early.
