HOMEWOOD, AL -

Community members have set up a makeshift memorial for the little girl police say was left in the SUV yesterday.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the girl as Gabriella Gi-Ny Luong, 11 months-old.

An autopsy is under way right now, but we're told the death appears to be heat related.

Teddy bears, flowers and cards are situated in front of Genesis Nail Spa, the business we're told is owned by the girl's parents.

As we first reported yesterday, the child was sent to the hospital, after being locked in a vehicle during the heat of the day in Homewood.

The incident happened about 1:20pm on 19th Street South in Homewood, near the Hallman Hill development.

The Homewood Police Department reports the child was reported to be inside the vehicle, which was parked on the street.

Medics arrived, and treated the girl, and transported the child to Children's of Alabama, where she later died.

It's unknown how long the child was inside the vehicle.

The Homewood Police Department is investigating.

The ambient temperature at the time of the incident was about 91 degrees.
