Tuscaloosa store clerk assaulted during robbery

TUSCALOOSA, AL -

The Tuscaloosa Police Department is looking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a recent robbery. 

Around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the Family Variety Convenience Store located at 911 E. Crescent Ridge Rd. was robbed.

During the robbery, the suspect stabbed the clerk multiple times.

The clerk was transported to the hospital by ambulance and is reported to have serious injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male standing 5'11" tall with a lean build and estimated to be around 25 years old. He was wearing a white long-sleeve T-shirt and dark colored pants at the time of the robbery.
