Gus Malzahn says it's a new day at Auburn and that includes most of the football players moving in together this fall. "We're going old school," Malzahn said.
"I told them that when I got hired and I don't think they were too fired up about it, but they're buying into what we are doing. There is something special about guys living together, eating together, developing comradery. They're really excited about it right now, and its makes me feel good going into fall camp."
All but about %10 of the senior class will be living in the new South Donahue Residence Hall that's being built right up the street from Jordan-Hare Stadium.
It's all in an effort to built chemistry, senior defensive back Chris Davis talked at SEC Media Days about the positives of getting to know his teammates. "I think it's going to be better for people bonding and getting to know each other," Davis said. "Getting to know other teammates families and all that I think it's going to be a good experience for the team."
Auburn reports for practice on Thursday, August 1st and starts practice the following day.
