Wenonah's Coleman Commits To Bama

BIRMINGHAM, AL -

Wenonah High School point guard Justin Coleman committed to the Univeristy of Alabama Wednesday morning.

The rising senior was a 2013 Class 5A All-State player that led the Dragons to three straight 5A state championships earlier this year.

The 5-foot-10, 155 pound guard averaged 21 points, eight assists and four steals last season.

Coleman tells Alabama's 13 his decision came down to style of play, and his relationship with Alabama head coach Anthony Grant.

"I liked how he was 100 percent with me," Coleman said.  "He was telling me what I can and what I can't do.  He's a man of his word."

Coleman also likes staying close to home.

"I wanted to stay here for my parents," Coleman said.  "They can see me play all my home games.  Play better, feel better."
