Alabama took a break from two-a-days today, holding only one practice this afternoon. The Tide will hold another round of two-a-days tomorrow.
Alabama will hold their first scrimmaging on Saturday inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
A big part of camp is trying to find the younger players who will become an asset to the team this year. "We are trying to develop some confidence and consistency in some of the younger players," Saban said after practice today. "Who might be able to help us in the scrimmage? Who is it worth based on scrimmage evaluation and guys running out there being able to perform and be competitors? Who is it that is going to be worth investing time to try to develop?
Some of the top incoming freshmen that Saban might be able to use include: defensive end Jonathan Allen, linebacker Reuben Foster, and running back Derrick Henry.
