The City of Birmingham continues to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1963 Civil Rights Movement. A new film premiered highlighting the changes in the city's government over the past 50 years.
The film is called "Fifty: The Documentary." It was shown Thursday at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church.
David Tucker, Jr., the executive director/producer of the film said, "I want them to be proud of where we've come from in 50 years and feel confident that the city is still moving forward."
We're told the documentary will be shown in schools as part of the city's 50 Years Forward Campaign.
